Who we are
Practice Unbound purpose is to create distinct and vital shifts in Primary Care: bringing people together, unlocking possibility and creating space for change
Practice Unbound is a service created by Here, a not-for-profit social enterprise based in Brighton, and 2017 “UK Social Enterprise of the Year”. When you commission services through Practice Unbound we reinvest in Primary care development.
Here was founded in 2008 and is a membership organisation owned by GPs, Practice Managers, nurses and staff. As part of Here, we believe in enabling people to take control of their health care journeys and we help change the way Health and Wellbeing services work so care can focus on what matters to individuals.
Why work with Practice Unbound?
We are the creator and longest standing provider of “productive Workflows”, part of the NHS General Practice 10 High Impact Actions programme.
Our team are continuously identifying areas of improvement, implementing pilots and promoting change in Primary Care across England, Wales and Scotland. We challenge assumptions and design impactful, evidence-based solutions.
Our Workflow solution continues to show us the level of impact small changes can have within Primary Care. Our ambition is to continue to work across the system to develop and test further Primary Care solutions, which support Practices to increase their resilience whilst simultaneously improving the outcomes and level of care received by patients
The Practice Unbound team work across the UK. Contact us about commissioning Workflow for your area, or to discuss the other primary care developments.
Our Transformation Leads work in partnership with Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), Local Health Boards (LHBs) and GP Federations across the UK to co-create local Workflow in Practices.
Your dedicated Transformation Lead will work with you from your first point of enquiry and will support you to:
- Understand the transformation funding available to commission Workflow
- Prioritise clinical effectiveness and safety when implementing Workflow Network
- Co-create robust GP Practice governance structures to support the delivery of Workflow
- Understand how our Workflow solution helps with localised Primary Care workforce planning
- Implement a sustainable and future-proof Workflow
From ex-Practice Managers to medical secretaries, many of our team have previously worked in a GP Practice and understand the challenges that may arise during implementation and how to quickly and effectively overcome them.
Our coaching team provide expert support to Workflow Administrators, Practice Managers and GPs throughout the training and implementation of our Workflow programme in your Practice.
The Transformations Coaches run the Workflow Helpdesk (open 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday). The Helpdesk is there to give you direct access to support. The Coaches will resolve technical challenges, training queries and answer your questions on tailoring Workflow to fit your Practice and team.
