What to expect

We’ve supported over 600 Practices to implement Workflow and know every Practice’s implementation is different. Our blended learning approach, designed by Primary Care professionals,  enables us to work with Practices to deliver a sustainable Workflow solution for every Practice.

“It saves on clinical staff time: around 80% of letters have been completed without the need for GP action. It also gives the clerical team more responsibility.” Georgina Briffa – Workflow Administrator

Our approach

Week 1: Our Engagement Workshop enables us to understand current processes and local needs so we are able to support your implementation in the right way.

Week 2: Our free toolkit includes helpful templates, guidance notes and tips to support your Practice to get started with Workflow.

Week 3: Delivered by our Workflow GP Leads, a two-hour GP Engagement and Governance session supports clinicians to understand and introduce the necessary governance structure to ensure Workflow is implemented safely.

Week 4-7: E-Learning modules guide administrators to Workflow in Practice and include sample letters to build skills and confidence before moving onto real correspondence. Still feeling unsure? Real time support can be accessed by GPs, Practice Managers and Workflow Administrators through weekly interactive coaching sessions and our practice helpdesk.

Week 8+: After just 8 weeks Workflow Administrators will be able to confidently Workflow high-frequency letters; significantly reducing the burden on GP time and releasing an average 8 hours per week. Our two-year support programme ensures you continue to realise the benefits and save GP time.

Why work with Practice Unbound?

Workflow was co-created by a Here Practice Administrator and a GP who understood the challenges General Practice faces.

Seeing the big impact that processing letters differently had on our Practice, Here was keen to explore how clever tech solutions could make a difference to other areas of Primary Care. We set up Practice Unbound to explore real needs and ideas within the sector, and roll out new products in response.

As Workflow’s developer and longest standing provider, we’re ideally placed to help your Practice make the most of the opportunities it offers your community.

Throughout the setup of Workflow we’re on hand to make sure training is enjoyable and the implementation is smooth. We then ensure it remains valuable in your Practice as the only provider to offer two years of dedicated support to your team.

I have never been involved in a change programme that has led to such a dramatic improvement in service so quickly. In one week the Surgery was transformed.

It is a lot more time efficient, it allows for a more standardised summary of records and it frees up GP time. And it gives much more job satisfaction for myself!
